The Orfeo Trio was founded in 2015, combining the talents of Angela Stone, flute, Jaike Bakker, Harp, and Tine Janssens, Viola.  All had been playing together for many years in various other formations and it became a natural progression to join forces and bring the beautiful repertoire for this combination of instruments to the stage.
The best known work for this ensemble, Claude Debussy's "Sonate pour Flute, Alto et Harpe" inspired many composers to add to the repertoire for this combination of three lovely instruments.  The Orfeo Trio also combines works for trio with solo and duo repertoire in its programmes, each new combination bringing an individual nuance to the evening.
