Why have a 100 Club?
Against a background of increasing uncertainty in the world of arts funding and Highland Council cutbacks, Music Nairn’s Committee looked at ways of supporting the concert programme to ensure that the high quality of music and artists presented continues.
It seems a good idea to raise some money in a fun way that is easy to administer, with the prospect of worthwhile prizes for those who take part, so each year we offer an opportunity for members to join our 100 Club.
What is a 100 Club?
100 Clubs work by members paying an annual contribution, being allocated a unique “number”, and in return having their number entered into a monthly draw. Up to half the monthly income is paid out each month in prizes, and clearly the greater the number of members, then the better the prizes. The monthly income is the total of the annual contributions divided by twelve. Music Nairn’s 100 Club Rules are included on a pamphlet which is available from our Treasurer.
How much does it cost?
An annual contribution of £12 will entitle a member to have one number entered in the monthly prize draw. Members can buy more than one number if they wish – so £24 buys two numbers, and so on. We launched the Club in May 2015, with the provision that at least 20 numbers must be allocated and although the Club will be called the “100 Club”, the number of members and numbers will not be limited to 100.

How do I/we join?
We much prefer that annual contributions are made by standing order paid annually, which may of course be cancelled by contacting your bank and letting us know. If you already have a standing order in place, no further action is required.

The application "window" closes on 15 April each year, so if you would like to join please make sure our Treasurer receives your application BEFORE this date.
If you wish to pay by Standing Order, please also ask for and complete a separate Standing Order Mandate and send both forms to us. If you wish to pay by cheque, then please send your cheque payable to “Music Nairn” with the completed Application Form.
Applications should be returned to Music Nairn at the Nairn Community & Arts Centre, King Street, Nairn, IV12 4BQ. All applications will be acknowledged and the allocated “numbers” advised.
