Trio Apaches began when Matthew Trusler, Thomas Carroll and Ashley Wass met at the 2012 Lincolnshire International Chamber Music Festival. The Trio is named after an innovative and often controversial group of Parisian-based artists which formed around 1900 and the three colleagues have collaborated in various forms over many years. Trio Apaches have quickly been embraced on the international concert scene and are unanimously praised for the infectious joy and virtuosity of their performances and the innovative nature of their programmes. They have made numerous appearances on BBC Radio 3, most recently in a live concert from the RCS in a recital juxtaposing Copland with Tchaikovsky.
