There was great excitement in three Nairn nurseries when McOpera (Scottish Opera orchestra musicians outreach organisation) visited with an interactive performance of Ruth Gipps 'Three Billy Goats Gruff', with oboe, horn, bassoon and narrator/singer and beautiful illustrations.  Around 70 children from Rosebank, First Steps and Junior world joined in enthusiastically, learning about the instruments and thoroughly enjoying the live music.  Many thanks to Sue Baxendale (horn) and her team for coming so far and giving the children such a wonderful experience.

Music Nairn is committed to getting more music out into the community, and next up is a children's concert at Nairn Community Centre on afternoon of Sunday 23rd June.  Favourite movie music from Inverness Symphony Orchestra - recommended age 5 and over, so bring all the family and don't miss it!
